Boooooring!
So I hate to go a few days without posting. I actually like to have posted something of interest at least once a day to keep those few people that actually read it coming back to check up. Unfortunately, I’m just in a lull at this point because I’m in transition between my old life and my new.
I will say this though… Never burn bridges, you may want to recross them one day. My good friend is doing that now and I’m happy that my exit is a fantastic entrance strategy for her. I wish I could say more about it, but unfortunately, I’m not as anonymous as I wish I was on this blog.
Let’s see, what else?! My fantastically awesome 71″ desk was delivered yesterday! This thing is even more massive than it looks in that picture. I actually googled it and came across another picture with the whole set up, hutch, bookcases, etc. LOVE! I didn’t get the hutch though. I figured it was too much considering all of the furniture in my bedroom is dark (almost black) and this desk is more of a deep cherry. Not quite a match, but there’s meaning to my madness…. I hate being too matchy matchy. The silver hardware was enough of a tie together, but the color allows me to visually separate the space. I’m thinking blue as my highlight color since I’m over the red curtain in my bathroom.

Anyway so besides storage items, I think I have most of everything. I ordered an OTT Lite Desk Lamp too. SO EXCITED ABOUT THAT! I have the worst eye strain so this should help BIG time. It displays a natural light so that your eyes don’t have to work overtime. And a desk pad and calendar desk pad to make sure that the desk doesn’t get all marked up (because I’m super hard on stuff). I also need curtains for the french door and some other little things here and there. I should be done with my purchases by today with exception of new glasses.
GLASSES. Always a tough spot. I hate them until I’ve worn them for three weeks and by then you typically can’t take them back unless you get them from Lens Crafters. Their 30 day guarantee is my saving grace or at least it has been for the past few years. The only problem is the one nearest to my house no longer sells Prada lenses so I have to make the voyage out to another mall BOO! If you know me, you know that I hate hate HATE malls especially this particular one that I’m thinking I’ll have to go to for designer lenses. It’s the best mall in the area and there are always way too many people and too much traffic around for my liking. It also has a parking garage so no easy in and out action like at regular suburban malls. I’m complaining about small things, I know, but JEEZ! Why can’t my mall have what I want!
….thinking, thinking, thinking… yea that’s it. Right now I’m off to have lunch with Poca! BBL!
